One of our white shorthorn mama cows
gave birth to a red calf...
He is super cute !
It will be below freezing tonight,
so the Cowboy walked them over to the
barn for the night.

Thanks Marilyn ! Newborn calves are so sweet. We have several nights this week in the 20's so we will have to try and keep the calves dry and warm.

Looking at his mama, I can tell this good looking calf will have plenty to drink and become strong! Annick H.
ReplyDeleteYes, that big white cow has a huge bag full of milk. Her udders are super big so we have to milk her out so the calf can get on the udder. We do this twice a day until the calf can get on by himself.
