Hello Spring Quilt...

Hello Spring Quilt

This is my 2026 Block of the Month

I am making the lap size quilt...

All of the pieces have been cut and are

organized and pinned onto this design board...

I am currently piecing the flower heads...

This is a 10 inch flower head...

All the flower heads are done...

I am ready to begin piecing the

leaf units...

The first flower head and leaf unit

are completed...

This measures 10 x 20 inches

My sewing table is ready for more stitching

next week when I meet up with my

local quilt group.

Lupine greet me when I enter

Foxglove growing along side

the machine shed at the barn lot...

Our little valley is overflowing with

Foxglove this time of year...

Don't you just love those little circles

inside each and every petal !

We are raking and baling the first

hay field today...

trying to beat the rain on Saturday...eek!

Black Eyed Suzy & Hay Raking...

This has been my Wednesday quilt project...

I have been pecking away at it since February.

The last time I shared images,

I had completed 6 flower blocks...

My pecking is paying off...

Every Wednesday I would add another flower

to the design wall...

All 16 flower blocks are done...

I have started the borders.

The Cowboy hooked up the hay rake...

The hay has been mowed for several days

and it is time to rake it into wind rows...

Here we go!

These foxgloves grow like weeds

all around the edges of the hay fields...

Gorgeous!

Swoon Quilt.....DONE !

I began working on this quilt last April...

Today I stitched the binding in place

and put it right on our bed !

It will feel wonderful to sleep under

this quilt tonight...

It measures 92 x 92 inches

and fits nicely on our queen size bed...

The name of the quilt pattern is....Swoon

Close-Up View of machine quilting...

I worked on it once a month with my

local quilt group...

We all finished our own quilts together.

It's always a great feeling of completion

to sleep under a handmade quilt.

Yes, I have already started the next one !

Garden Tea Party Quilt...

Time to get a binding on this quilt...

I place the folgers can on the floor

between my feet and the binding

feeds beautifully up and onto

the quilt as I stitch it in place.

Binding clips hold the binding in place

as I stitch it down...

Almost done stitching the binding...

always a great feeling !

She's all bound and ready to go...

It was raining today, so I couldn't take her

outside for a full length photo shoot...

Machine quilting close up view:

Swirls and flower petal motifs...

This was a FUN one to machine quilt...

Always a great feeling to get a quilt

to completion...

This quilt is on its' way to someone

who has had surgery and now radiation.

I hope it brings her comfort and peace

when she needs it most.
