Feeding Cattle in the Western Oregon Snow....

I haven't made it out to the Thread Shed

to get any stitching done...

We have been making our way through

all of this snow to get the cattle fed:

Frosty mornings on an open tractor.....brrrr

The Cowboy loads up the 1200 lb. hay bale

and I drive the pickup...

I drive while the Cowboy flakes the hay

off the back of the flat bed...

We have cattle at 5 different locations

so we will repeat this feeding process...

The cattle will move their way up this line of hay

munching all the way...

Just across the river you can see

our red goat barn...

Next to the barn is my little, yellow Thread Shed.

I hope to be stitching in there soon.

From Western Oregon we wish you a

Happy New Year 2022

Feeding Cattle in the Snow.....2021

This is the view out the back door

as we head out to do chores this morning...

At 200 feet above sea level,

we don't get much snow...

the cow herd doesn't know what to think

about all of this white stuff ?

These are mama cows ...

They will begin calving in February...

Happy Holidays from Snowy Western Oregon

Merry Christmas from the Kessi Ranch

Did Santa forget one of his reindeer last night?

Enjoy the Video:

This is actually an elk calf

that has been living with our cow herd

the last several weeks.

Not sure what happened to its' mama?

It feels safe with the cows and doesn't seem

to mind the Cowboy and I feeding the cattle

each morning.

We are hoping an elk herd passes through soon

that this calf can join up with.

Merry Christmas with Love

The Kessi Ranch
