Flowers For My Sissy
This was created as a birthday gift for my little sister, Sherry. She will see it for the first time when she comes to view this exhibit....SURPRISE!
This is a joyful and happy quilt, and reminds me of all the fun and laughter I have shared with my sister.
I love you Sissy

Wow - how special:)
ReplyDeleteIt turned out absolutely spectacular! Love your slide show, too!
ReplyDeleteOh wow that made me cry! I didn't get a close up look at it but you sure can on the slide show. So much work and time goes into those quilts from the threads to colors, to patterns etc. I'm not a quilter so I wasn't aware of all those things. It so beautiful and special and I don't deserve it. I love you too. Sherry
ReplyDeleteLuAnn - beautiful quilt! The best thing, though, was the sweet, sweet tribute to your "Sissy" - makes me miss my sweet "Sissies" (I have 3!). Thanks for the uplifting start to my day :)
ReplyDeleteHi Suzette,
ReplyDeleteSisters are the "Creamer in our Coffee" aren't they!
I have 5 sisters.........and have made quilts for 3 of them so far. It is a special time for me as I dream up a quilt design just for each one of them, choose the fabrics and design it as I go.......I love every minute of every process......and think of each of them as I work on their quilt.
There's nothing like a sister,
