Sunflowers Give A Nod
This was the very last flower left standing in the sunflower patch in October. I just had to capture it with the camera. It lent itself nicely to a photo transfer quilt.

Bounce
Circles fascinate me. When I see them I am drawn to them to take a closer look. This quilt reflects my obsession with all things round.

It’s Been Lovely
This journal quilt was created in a Permission 2 Play Jello Printing class lead by Nancy Bryant in October 2008. This was my first experience printing on gelatin with acrylic paints. Bubble wrap was used to create the background texture on the fabric. I pulled out my stash of rubber stamps and printed the women.

Reflection
The background tree fabric was the inspiration for this quilt. I freehand cut the black tree silhouette from fused fabric, then free motion quilted it in place.
This was a class sample for the first Permission 2 Play class in September 2008

You Spoil Me Rotten
The flowers are beginning to bloom and the flower beds need tending. I am trying to make time for both of my passions...Quilting & Gardening.
I love working in the flowers and also sewing a few stitches each day. That doesn’t leave much time for the day to day necessities of life, like hot meals
and clean laundry.
He doesn’t mind. He calls me when the steaks are done on the BBQ. He spoils me rotten, I like that in a man.

Passion for Purple
This was created as a class sample for the Permission 2 Play class in March 2009.
We used shaving cream as a base for textile paints. We were able to create swirls of color in the shaving cream, then print our fabrics on top of them.
Much more fun than shaving your legs!
