I have been playing with background fill designs.
Here is one that I drew around a feather:
Dense quilting in the background will
help the feather to pop-out on the quilt surface.
Here is the stem line I drew out randomly...
Here it is filled in with plumes...FUN!
When I am feeling rusty, I draw out this
S Curve and Clam Shell design
to warm me up and get me going.
It also makes a great warm up on the machine!
Here is my little portable green house:
I planted the seeds May 1st...
They germinate better in the green house
than they do in the cooler Western Oregon soil.
I have been busy the last two weeks
planting the flower starts all over the yard...
...I finished planting today!
Here is what is blooming today:
Orange Gerber Daisy
Red Dahlia
Pink Star Lily
I even think this Teasel weed is pretty
by the rusty corral.

Hey LuAnn,
ReplyDeleteIf that teasel is what I'm thinking it is, the seed head makes fantastic additions to dried arrangements. Bet a florist'd pay for it. A little, of course. :)

As always, lots of great inspiration going on here.
