Plow girl.....time to Harrow

We are expecting lots of rain tomorrow...

we are chasing our tails to get this field done.

9am  I am knocking down all

of the plowed ground

with the harrows...

There are two harrows behind the tractor...

a large hydraulic harrow, then behind that is

a small drag harrow.

By late afternoon, all of the harrow work is done.

The Cowboy hooks the roller packer

onto the back of the John Deere:

The Roller Packer packs down all of the loose dirt

and gets the ground ready for seeding...

Behind the Roller Packer is the small harrow...

this was quite a bit to drag around behind me

and took longer  than I thought it would

to cover the whole field.

It's is 3:00

The Cowboy has hooked up the drill

to the back of the International tractor:

He is filling the drill with

bags of grass seed and fertilizer.

For the rest of the day I ran the Roller Packer

and the Cowboy followed me drilling seed.

7pm....10 hours today

and we just couldn't get the field finished.

Tomorrow is another day.
