Let's go back 10 years...

I was having lots of FUN creating

The fabric surrounding this portrait is

my hand dyed fabric that I screen printed on.

Orange Zinnia Portrait Quilt

The Neocolor II is applied to the cotton fabric,

then water is painted over the Neocolor II

Hollyhocks...

I had several hundred images on the camera

taken over the summer...

I thought I would share a few:

Hollyhocks blooming by the back door...

Our little herd of blackberry eaters...

Boer Goats

We feed them grape leaves off the arbor

in the back yard...

Goats are super fun to have around !

Blueberry Pie....in progress

All baked up and ready to go !

I just love this gorgeous steer calf...

5 months old

I have lots more and will try and

post them as time allows.

Enjoy the rest of your summer !

If you are inspired by any of these images,

please use them in your personal art work.

DIY Phone Stands...

This is a super quick stitching project...

iPhone Stands...

I don't even have an iPhone...

we don't have cell service where we live.

But, several of my friends and family do...

so I made a few to give as gifts.

They require a small piece of fabric,

so I pawed through my scrap basket...

I lined them with fusible interfacing...

The bottom half is filled with plastic pellets...

The top half is stuffing.

I made a larger one to support an ipad...

I don't have an ipad either.

There are oodles of You Tube video tutorials

to teach you how to make these.

They are FUN and FAST and make great gifts!

Lucifer Crocosmia

blooming in the back yard...

The blooms are so vibrant and exotic...

I guess I planted them too close to the fence:

The naughty goats nibbled on them !

I didn't take any process images

while making the ipad stands,

but this is a You Tube Tutorial

that is similar to the way I made mine.

Improv 9 Patch......Blocks all done

Improv 9 Patch

I was able to piece 25 more 9 patch blocks

since July...

They are the white blocks around the edges

of the quilt top...

Right now the quilt measures 70 x 60 inches...

168 Blocks

I will fill in with solid white fabric

all along the edges...

This work table has been cleared off...

I am piecing the vertical rows...

The left over strips will wait for a future project.

This has been a great summer project...

just pop into the Thread Shed and

make a block or two

when I get some time to stitch!

Yes, we are feeding cattle...

The pastures are all dried up and the

cows are more than happy to

belly up to the hay feeders.
