Fabulous Finish....Number 3
This is the 5th in a series of
Barn Lot Quilts
I was working on in 2019...
There was still a bit of machine quilting
that needed to be finished up on this one:
Can you see the rusted horse shoes
on the fabric?
Here is a close-up view:
Horse shoes from one of
the Cowboy's roping horses
is wrapped in the fabric and rusted with vinegar.
The images on this quilt are all about....RUST
Lots of rusty objects in the barn lot.
I tried to keep the quilting simple so it
would not interfere with the printed images...
After the quilting was complete...
I took out my 20 inch ruler and squared up
the corners and trimmed the edges and
stitched on the binding...
I hand dyed the backing fabric...
5 Barn Lot Quilts completed....so far.

New here. I discovered your blog through pinterest.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have some lovely quilts and your rusty dyed fabric is amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Hi Loulee,
DeleteSo glad you found the blog! We all just love to see what others are doing, now don't we! I have devoted this year to finishing up all of my UFOs, so I should have lots to show coming soon.
Many thanks for your comments,
LuAnn
