This is my first attempt at creating a
Jelly Roll Rug
I truly enjoyed the process...
To keep it flat...
I used Best Press and I ironed it after I stitched
each and every round.

Your rug is beautiful!!! How many strips of fabric do you think you used? How did you finish the end? By stopping and ironing every time around, you will also keep it from totally falling apart if stitches break...only one "round" will be in danger and it will be easier to repair!! I MUST make one of these for me!!!
ReplyDeleteThe jelly roll had 40 strips in it. The end is tapered and just blends right into the side of the rug and is stitched down. They are FUN to stitch.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
LuAnn
The jelly roll rug is amazing, in my favourite colours of black and white. I made an attempt to make one, but threw it in the bin after about 3 rounds, just didn't like it at all. But I am a scrap quilt fanatic so can use my jelly roll strips in lots of other ways.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm going to make one!
ReplyDeletelove how you used the black and white. Looks like fun, I have the pattern, but not the batting, they were out of it when I bought my pattern. one of these days!
