Tea Dyed Heart Sachet Class...

The Permission 2 Play group is playing with

Tea Dyed Hearts

Class is about to begin...

Grab a name tag....

Grab a Seat

Your Instructor:  Nancy Bryant

Hibiscus Tea Bags
are the inspiration for today!

Hibiscus Tea Bags
were used to die the fabrics,
the top layer of the heart is organza
the backing is cotton fabric,
the hearts are embellished with lace, ribbons, buttons, filled with lavender.

The students created a heart shaped pattern,
cut out the shape from organza and cotton fabrics, embellished with trim...

The next step is to sew around the heart shape
with a sewing machine...

leaving a hole to fill it with lavender.

Stitching the embellishments in place...

Once the hearts have been stitched...

Get out the funnels
and fill the hearts with lavender.

The lavender aroma is wonderful!

Here Comes the.....Show 'n Tell:
