Summer Breeze…….DONE!
I spent the morning hand stitching the label and sleeve…
Let's take it outdoors for a photo shoot..
The red maple trees in the yard are hard to resist…
Glad to have this one checked off my list!

Beautiful job of quilting a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts! Just wondering about your basting technique. Looks like you use spray? I safety pin baste my smaller quilts on a basting wall (this old body can't work on the floor anymore), but that limits the size of my quilts. I'd like to quilt some larger ones, but the basting always holds me back. Does the spray last long enough to get them done? Any advice/comments? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeletePatsy Thompson is a pro at spray basting quilts. You can watch her video:

I like 5o5 spray baste. Very little odor, if any, a good stick that lasts a long time, then washes out. I've never had a pucker on the back side of my quilts since I began spray basting a few years ago.
Good Luck!

Another wonderful finish. Seems like it took no time at all for you to complete that beautiful quilting! I'll bet the raffle tickets will sell like hotcakes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole,
ReplyDeleteThis was a very quick one to quilt. The Women's Cancer Coalition will sell tickets on this for a year to raise money for women's cancer programs in our area.
