I recently stamped these tea bag papers
I decided to use a few of them in a new
Mixed Media Class Sample Quilt:
This is a piece of fabric that was Rust Dyed
last summer.
It will be the foundation for this mixed media piece.
Auditioning a few tea bag papers
and metal embellishments...
The stamped tea bags show up nicely on the lightly rusted areas
Auditioning a few found papers
At this point...
all of the tea bag papers have been fastened down with
soft gel medium
Playing with the placement of the
metal leaf light switch cover
Not sure which orientation feels right
for the light switch cover...
This lay out seems balanced.
I will hand sew the metal embellishments on
after all of the machine quilting is completed.
Waxed Threads
I will bring this to class as a sample
and couch down these waxed threads.
I hope to see YOU in class !

Wow -- your work is phenomenal! Very different and intriguing. I like it a lot. I found your blog when I went to vote for a quilt for this weeks Quilter's Gallery contest. Your "The Audition" is lovely and got my vote! Good luck! :)
