Plow Girl.....Plowing the next field

We're in the next field....ready to PLOW

5 Bottom Plow

The Cowboy is making a few adjustments

on the plow before I get started...

The cattle will keep me company today

while I get this worked up...

This is one of my favorite barns on the place.

Ground on the right had the
disc run over it twice.

Ground on the left has been plowed.

I am in the back portion of the field...

you can see the barn
way up there in the distance.

Plowed ground on the right...

This field is super hard...

The plow worked hard to get through it.

Took me 3 days, instead of 1,

to get it all plowed up !

Plow Girl.....onto the next field

International Harvester

This was a Valentines gift from the Cowboy

a few years ago...

I just love it when tractors come in....RED

The tractors are rarely near the fuel tanks...

so we bring the fuel to the tractors

in portable barrel pumps.

John Deere 4440

This is the Cowboy's tractor

50 gallons of fuel will run the tractor

for about 10 hours.

The first hay field has been seeded,

we are in the 2nd field today:

The cowboy has the disc hooked up

and ready to go...

It took me 2 days to go over this field

twice with the disc.

It is now ready to be plowed...

Feeding Cattle...

Autumn snuck in early on us here in

Western Oregon

Foggy mornings feeding cattle...

We are wearing jackets again

when we leave the house...

We are feeding cattle across the river

this morning.

You can see our place in the distance...

Now that everybody has been fed,

we are heading back home

to cook up some breakfast for ourselves.

We begin and end each day out at the barn

with these little beauties

All of the goats just love...apples !

for a bucket full of apples.

Plow Girl......Harrow and Pack

The rain shut down tractor work for a few days...

The fields are all dry now

and we are back at it !

The Cowboy has hooked up

the harrow and the roller packer.

I will be pulling both of these bad boys

behind me !

It took 2 days...

the field is now ready for planting....wahooey!
