I haven't had much time to sit in front
of my sewing machine and listen to
the gentle hum...
I have been behind the wheel of the tractor
listening to the roaring engine:
I haven't been alone...
The Sixth Generation of Kessi's
are riding along learning to rake Hay
It's great to have these two along for the ride...
They are both looking forward to the day
when they can drive the tractor and
help make hay for the cattle...
They are the Sixth Generation of Kessi's
here @ the Kessi Ranch.

LuAnn, a tractor was the first motorized vehicle I drove — early sixties on my friends family farm — I could barely reach the pedals. Teaching them farming along with quilting is so fun watching them learn!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your very FUN comment! The Cowboy started driving when he was 8 years...he would haul the irrigation pipe trailer around for his dad. We all had to start somewhere.
DeleteHappy Summer,
LuAnn
I heard the weather predictions for your part of the country. I hope the cattle will be safe in the heat that is coming. It must be worrisome for you. We have been over 100 in Texas for so long, it is debilitating especially when you need to wonder if the Texas electric grid will hold up. Good luck and enjoy that "6th generation" this summer. ReplyDeleteMany Thanks Annick for thinking of our cattle. We are fortunate to live in the land of many trees....always lots of shade for the cattle under the trees. They hold up in the shade during the day when it is very hot, then graze in the evening when it is cooler. Good Luck to you Texans in such extreme heat.
