P.S.
I am learning more every day about my new Sweet Sixteen. Long arms are nothing like a conventional sewing machine. They require almost NO bobbin tension compared to my Bernina. That has been the biggest adjustment for me. I have recently learned that a TOWA Bobbin Gauge is a necessity to achieve accurate tension, so I have just ordered one.
With the Sweet Sixteen I have so much room to move the quilt around, that I can concentrate on my quilting instead of manipulating the quilt under the harp of the machine. Yes, I like my new sit-down machine very much, especially the little touch screen on the front.

May Your Bobbin Always Be Full of FUN,
LuAnn
Fantastic! Can't wait to see the full view.
ReplyDeletethe Towa bobbin tension gauge is the best money I've ever spent on my longarm! It saved me many hours of angst!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI had a go at quilting on a Sweet Sixteen at a quilt show recently. I broke the bobbin thread three times before I decided to leave the poor merchant in peace! When it went, I liked it. Perhaps the bobbin tension was wrong.
I've always admired your work. This one is not an exception. Can't wait for the reveal.
ReplyDeleteLuAnn, your work is drop-dead gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on my blog reading --- I do sun printing also and love it! But your quilt came out OMG Beautiful! Love, love it!
