The zipper is installed on the front side.

He is the second calf born this year

and he loves to play calf games

with all the other calves every morning !

Tote Bag...

This tote bag is cut out and ready to stitch... 

I pawed through the fabric cupboard and found 

one of my hand dyes to line the bag...

This Pellon Flex-Foam 2-Sided Fusible

creates a bag that is sturdy and stands up...

The bag is done and is ready for handles...

I like the way these faux leather handles

look and feel in my hand when carrying the bag.

Rivets make short work of attaching the handles...

Always FUN to get the hand dyes out and

give them new life...

The tote bag panel came with a pocket...FUN !

This will make a great new bag for....SPRING !

Sew Happy Zen Chic Panel...

 I have had this panel sitting around

for long enough...

It is time to cut it up and do something with it...

It is a heavier linen fabric...

I decided to make zip bags 

with the small squares.

I matched the squares up with 

zippers and lining fabrics.

I am using foam instead of batting...

Pellon Flex-Foam 2-sided fusible

The foam creates a very sturdy bag...

Fried Egg lining fabric...

I placed the zipper on the side of this bag...

8 zipper bags ready for gift giving...

These were much larger, 

so I turned them into pillows.

We now have 20 new calves on the ground.Calving season is galloping right along.

It was 80 degrees yesterday !

The Cowboy mowed the lawn.

Calving Season...

How super cute is number 6 ... 

This is a little bull calf born a week ago...

His mama is eating clover pellets

behind the barn...

Replacement heifers in the side view mirror...

None of them are calving just yet.

Dollface had her calf yesterday...

Feeding heifers across the river from

our home place.

We have been enjoying sunny weather.

It was 76 degrees today !

We have 19 calves on the ground so far.

The cows will be calving through May.

12 calves in 12 days...

Calving season is just getting started...

 

We will continue to have calves into May...

This is Edith with her new bull calf...

Most of the heifers will not have their calves

until April...

Things aren't too busy just yet,

so I have been able to spend time out

in the Thread Shed listening to the

hum of my sewing machine....aaah.

Horse Quilt...Done !

 

" Unbridled "

72 x 56 inches

The horse quilt is the same as the

pillows on the couches.

It's good to have it done and enjoy it

in the living room.

We had 5 newborn calves this morning...

They are all strong and healthy.

This is Althea Red

She is one of our oh so beautiful heifers.

She isn't showing any signs of calving just yet.

We check on the cattle several times a day to

see if any of the mamas are in labor yet.

Sometimes they need our help having their babies.
