Button Bracelets...

Last winter I sorted my buttons by color...

The first project I made with buttons:

Wine Glass Charms

Second project:

White Button Necklace

Third Project:

Brown Button Necklace

My latest Button FUN:

Button Bracelets

I like waxed cord for the bracelets.

In the evenings, I make a couple of bracelets...

They are starting to pile up...

My favorite....so far:

Metal buttons off jeans......love it!

I have worn this one to town several times.

The clear buttons are beautiful to work with.

Earth tones work nicely together.

These bracelets have been given away to

my quilting pals, friends, family and neighbors...

But, I can't stop making them!

We had a new calf early this morning:

The new black calf and her mama are in the

center of the photo.

They are flanked on each side by the

Shorthorn Bulls.

More......Jello Printing

After herding the yearling cattle

across the river this morning...

I headed straight for the Thread Shed

for an afternoon of jello/gelli printing...

I am printing on paper today

with Open Acrylics by Golden...

My objective is.....lots of layers

I have never printed with Open Acrylics

on fabric...

That's definitely on my to-do-list...

After a couple of hours...

the prints are piling up!

Me loves me some jello printing in the afternoon

Down at the Barn Lot:

The Foxglove are in full bloom...

I just adore these wild flowers...

That is some pink...

Also down at the barn lot:

A few of the calves are out behind the barn.

The calves range in age from 4 months to newborn.

There's one in every bunch!

Iris and New Calf...

The Iris bed is really putting on a show...

100 Iris here in the front flower bed.

The aroma is lovely.

It is hard to walk by them

without grabbing the camera!

The Cowboy built this bird house years ago...

Each Spring Tree Swallows come to nest...

The male Tree Swallow waits patiently outside

while the female sits on the eggs inside...

It won't be long until we hear

baby birds peeping!

Yes, we are still calving...

This is our newest Baby.....Ben

Ben.....asleep under a foxglove.

Painted Canvas.....Tote Bag 2

Remember when we made some

I used a piece of my canvas to make this tote bag:

I didn't take in-process photos while stitching up

the tote bag.....here it is all sewn up and waiting

for the painted handles to dry...

Here it is completed with the handles...

It is lined...

The sides and bottom are quilted...

I created this bag in a class

It is a 2 sided bag.....lots of FUN!

Here are a few of the students with their

messy painted canvas tote bags:

Betty

Lani

Linda

Karri

Kathi

We celebrated with margaritas!

Many Thanks to our instructor, Donna Irons.

She came all the way from Idaho
to teach this class!
