The last time I posted this quilt
it was still on the design wall...
I was just finishing up the borders...
Today the machine quilting is complete
and I am in the binding stage...
I always use my trusty Folgers can to hold my
binding while I am at the machine...
I can't live without my clips
to hold down the folded edge of the binding...
I recently made a few of these Clam Up pouches
to hold my binding clips...
The pouches open wide and it is easy
to get the clips in and out while I am working...
Machine Quilting Close Ups:
I used a C fill for the center of the quilt...
A curly feather for the pieced border
that surrounds the center medallion star...
C fill again in the small stars area of the quilt...
The final border on the right side,
I used my straight ruler and did
some crosshatch grid quilting...
This is a queen size bed quilt 90 x 90 inches
It is a holiday gift
and nothing gets things done like...
a deadline !
The label is sewn to the back side...
Need to find a box and get this wrapped
and under the tree...
Believe it or not,
I still have one more quilt to finish up...yikes !
