She began sewing on my Bernina
when she was 4 years young...
She is now 10 years of age...
She came over during her Spring Break
in April and pieced the star...
She came back over the Summer and
finished piecing the quilt top...
We will team up to complete the Quilt:
I basted it and completed the machine quilting...
She has been busy playing volleyball
and basketball...
She has quilted small projects so far,
but nothing this large...
This is the backing fabric she chose...
I completed the binding last week...
The Raiders Quilt is completed,
all wrapped up and under the tree...
just in time for her to gift it to her father.
I feel the future of quilting in our family
will go on for many more years
thanks to team work like this.

Brilliant. Gorgeous design, fun fabrics and crisp points. I too see a quilter for life in your families' future and I'm sure her father is going to treasure this quilt forever. I love it.

What a nice gift for her Dad! Hopefully his team will have a better year next year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki! Our grand girl has become quite ambitious at the sewing machine. Yes, they will cheer on the Raiders next year.
