Feeding Cattle in the Snow.....2021

This is the view out the back door

as we head out to do chores this morning...

At 200 feet above sea level,

we don't get much snow...

the cow herd doesn't know what to think

about all of this white stuff ?

These are mama cows ...

They will begin calving in February...

    1. Hi Darlene,
We get 130 inches of rain a year and every 5 years or so we get a bit of snow.....always enjoy seeing it white out there!

  2. Happy New Year to you and your family. Hope this snow is not too bad for "your girls". Thank you for all the nice videos of your ranch and the hard work you put in it with the "Cowboy" as well as what your share about your quilting. All the best from Texas, Annick H.

  3. I figured that if the coastal cities in the PNW got snow, you just might get a bit as well!! Looks beautiful and I'm glad it is happening now and not in February when the calves are dropping!!! Definitely an unusual occurrence for your neck of the woods!! Have a blessed New Year!!

    1. Hi Farm Quilters,
It is always FUN to see it white out there....much better than rainy and muddy.

      Happy New year,

  5. Hi Robbie,
That deer eating with the cattle is an elk calf. We sure enjoy seeing him each morning as we are flaking out the hay to the cattle.

    Happy New Year,
    LuAnn
