  1. Welcoming a new life into the world never gets old, does it? So sweet! And did I hear you say ya'll have had 130" of rain this winter?! I can't wrap my head around that much rain! We average 10" all year here in the desert and we haven't had that in a very long time! Selling off 75% of the herd because of the dry conditions and lots of folks are selling out in this part of the country. I know that too much rain causes just as many problems as not enough rain, but right now we'd sure take some of your rain off of your hands.

    1. No, it never gets old. We get just as excited with each new birth, even when we have 6 in one day! Yes, here in Western Oregon we average 130 inches of rain a year......it rains for 8 months straight October to May. It is hard on the livestock for sure. Lots of mud to deal with at the barn lots and in the fields where we feed the cattle. We could use some of your dry weather!

  3. New life, always exciting and awesome! The calves are always so cute and I'm amazed how quickly they are on their feet. Prey animals are quicker to be on their feet and able to move...God knew what he was doing when He created them able to get away to safety!

  4. Loved the video, the trust the mother puts in your husband taking care of her baby is touching.
