  1. Oh, I love calving season!! One of these years I'm going to be home for calving season and I'll have to see if I can help out with it at my niece's farm. I know it is crazy busy for your Cowboy, but I love seeing the babies! If #5 was a heifer, what the total count heifer/bull calves? Mom was very patient...you could tell that she was really paying attention to what he was doing to her baby!

    1. Mother Nature always keeps the bull/heifer count right at 50/50.....always amazes me every year that half the calves are bulls and half are heifers.

  2. Hey LuAnn. Are the vultures back? I thought I saw two but was thinking it's too early. Now here you come with babies. Cute, cute babies! :)

    1. Hi Maggie, we check the sky every day, but haven't seen a turkey vulture yet. The bald eagles have been enjoying all of the afterbirth at the calving grounds. We expect a vulture to show up any day now.
