I attended a Quilt Retreat this week...
We started out the retreat by stitching up
Pincushion Thread Catchers
If you have never made one of these,
there are a lot of online tutorials out there...
Once you make one,
you will wonder how you got along without it.

I made one of these at the first retreat I went on. I used sand from the Icicle River in it and I still love it! I need to make another one. I want to make one with a magnetic pin holder bowls on the top...do you have any idea how to attach it?? Your group made some beauties!!!
ReplyDeleteThe magnetic pin bowl is a great idea. I will have to think about the engineering on that one for awhile.

Good idea. Maybe you could make a fabric base and hide a good magnet inside it that will hold the bowl?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this and the links. I bought one of these about 20 years ago. I think it is time to make a few. One just isn't enough!
ReplyDeleteWOW...they are great!!! And they look so cute all lined up in a row like little soldiers!!!
ReplyDeleteI made one of these for myself a few months ago. When the Harlan quilters saw it, they wanted to make one, so we had a class on the first day of quilt retreat. Some of the girls went on to make another one for their home machines.....FUN!
