Hexagon Table Runner......#3

English Paper Pieced.....Hexagons

I enjoy a hand piecing project when we travel,

so I am putting together a

take-a-long table runner.

After all of the paper hexagons are covered with

fabric, I put down a white piece of fabric and

arrange the table runner...

This is my third table runner,

and I still enjoy the process.

The pieces are all arranged,

but not sewn together just yet...

I pin each hexagon to the fabric base.

They will live on this fabric until they

are hand pieced together.

The fabric will not remain under the hexagons.

Once they are all pinned down,

this becomes a portable project and

the hexagons will stay in the proper order

for stitching.

  2. those look like the larger ones, I am also work on a table runner with the 3/4 inch size. Just because I had them. I like yours, gave me a thought, to do a throw for the end of our bed, But think I will use the larger Hexes. How are you going to quilt it or back it. I am just having fun with a random pattern. will put it on my blog. Have been viewing your blog for eons. Love your Quilt and Farm stories. We are down sizing like many others so time is escaping u, relaxing to do hand work at night.!
