I put together one more Fantasy Fish...
Blue Fish is....... Fish 4
Here is Blue Fish
His pale colored fins need something...
Outlining them in black fabric helps...
Let's add some skinny fin spikes...
Yes, now Blue Fish is done!
Here are all 4 Fantasy Fish on the Big Board...
This is my Big Board with the new hand dyed cover.
I decided a simple hand dyed background works best
for the Fantasy Fish.
I dug through my cupboard of simple low-immersion
hand dyes and this is what I decided on for
backgrounds for the fish:
Fantasy Fish 1
Fantasy Fish 2
Fantasy Fish 3
Fantasy Fish 4
These are now all ironed, basted and ready to go under the needle.
I plan to machine quilt the entire background...
BEFORE I fuse the fish down.
More to come...

What a beautiful school.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love them!
ReplyDeleteThey are delightful. I'm curious how well they will stick once you've quilted the entire ground. And whether or not those quilt lines will be visible. Not sure I'd have the courage or vision so it will be fun to watch this.
ReplyDeleteStunning! I hope my book arrives this week so I can start making some fish.
ReplyDeleteWow these are amazing. Absolutely love them. Can't wait for the next step.
