Gunnr's Buffalo Quilt...

I haven't spent much time in the Thread Shed

since June....

Thread Shed and Hen House

We have had rainy days, so I am ready

to play indoors today...

Come on in....let's see what the day brings!

My Happy Room awaits me...

Gunnr has decided it is time to make him

a Quilt of his very own...

Gunnr has 2 loves......Buffalo and Cheese

I rounded up a few fabrics for that theme!

Very Cheesy Fabric...

Once the fabric selection was over...

Gunnr settled down for a nap

 under the sewing machine.

The Dinner Plate Dahlias are putting on a show

just outside the Thread Shed Window...

Let the piecing begin...

First 2 fabrics pieced together...

I added on a hunk of cheese fabric...

First 4 fabrics pieced together...

I will continue adding fabrics

until the quilt is long enough.

Gunnr was more than happy to try out the quilt top

for size...

I rounded up some flannel fabric for the back side...

The Buffalo Quilt is......under the needle!

  2. Too cute! Love that cheese fabric! And your studio/thread shed looks like a very cozy place to quilt!

  3. You have such a wonderful sewing space. Glad to see that Gunner is 'supervising' the whole process :)

  5. Beautiful Thread Shed, what a lovely place to create!

A friend who plays flute in an Indian flute group wants some fabric with buffalo to make covers for flutes. Can you tell me where some might be ordered?
