Paper Piecing...

I have been in the mood to do some

Paper Piecing...

I found this pattern online, printed it out

and got right with it...

It is a Quilt Cakes pattern on Etsy...

I rarely work with pinks, so this

is what I found in the fabric cupboard...

It has been many years since I paper pieced.

This is the back side of the block...

This was FUN!

Just love those pointy points !

So much FUN I just had to try another block...

This is a Liza Taylor pattern on Etsy...

I also have her book...

I rustled up some low volume fabric scraps

left over from a Christmas Tree quilt

I made last year...

I am auditioning fabrics for the flower petals.

Also leftover scraps from the tree quilt...

This block went together quickly and easily...

I plan to add a stem with leaves...

I guess I am on a paper piecing kick this week

because I made another block...

I found this block online...

Ellen's Snowball PP Block...

Wow!

This one just blows me away!

Paper Piecing Perfection !

So satisfying...

We are just starting our calving season

and these blocks can be stitched between

trips across the river to the calving barns...

It is amazing what you can get done a few

minutes here and a few minutes there.

We have two sets of twins so far...

This is Mary and her brother Lou

They have an excellent mother who has

already raised twins, so she knows

what she is doing.

I love the background fabrics in your flower block. Now I'm going to have to try to find that book because I really like all those flowers. Thanks, I needed another project. LOL

Liza Taylor, the author of the paper piecing book is just now starting a sew along.
