Orange Peel / Pumpkin Seed.......Progress

On Mondays I stitch with

The Harlan Valley Quilters

This has been my Monday project
the last few weeks...

At this point I have completed the seed shapes
and they are ready to be stitched down onto
the 5 inch background squares

I have not put the blocks up on the design wall
in any order at all, just stitched them and
slapped them up there.

Next week I will arrange them by color families
and see what that looks like...
Maybe a shift of color from top to bottom ?

For now they are on the design wall
completely random...

More to Come.....Next Monday

  1. I do not mind completely random. Are you appliqueing on top or piecing into curves?

    1. The seed shapes are all turned edge so I will stitch them down with monopoly thread using an invisible applique' stitch.

  2. Oh, I can't wait to see this quilt finished!!! I really like quilts that do a color shift diagonally across the quilt!

    1. The flying geese keep your eye moving across the quilt. I like them too!

      Thanks
