Just beautiful!! the poppies are my favorite - I remember seeing hillsides of them when I was a kid and this brings back great memories! Thank you!
Your place is just beautiful....flowers wonderful! I had to show my hubby your bear video! WOW! Do they ever bother your stock or try to get in your barns? I also showed hubby your Thread Shed...all he said was "WOW" again! HA
Love when he comes in for a close-up!! Fun to see all the animals you have around the farm!
The floxgloves are so lovely, but I've only seen them so beautiful in your part of the country.
Hi everyone, I haven't been receiving any blogger comments for several months now. I thought everyone was having a fun and busy summer and wasn't reading the blog.....just today I discovered lots and lots of blogger comments waiting for my moderation. Not sure how that happened? I will try and respond to any questions you had....which may take me awhile to get through several months of comments, but I will peck away at it a little each day. Sorry for the lack of communication on my part. Happy to see all of the comments waiting for me. My Best To You, LuAnn Kessi in Western Oregon
I sprinkled CA poppy seeds in the back yard years ago. They are known for loving a dry climate, but they seem to do just great here in rainy Western Oregon with 130 inches of rain fall per year.....eek!
No, the black bears are not aggressive. They are just out in the woods trying to raise their young and make a living for themselves. They have never bothered our cattle or goat herds. They come into the apple orchard this time every year to eat apples.
Western Oregon is know for high acid soil, that's why fir trees grown here in abundance. I wonder if the foxgloves are also acid loving plants?
