Hay Season...

You know it is summer here in Western Oregon

when you don't hear the gentle hum of your

sewing machine...

You hear the ROAR of a tractor diesel engine!

You aren't cutting beautiful fabrics...

You are cutting hay!

This is my view from the tractor cab...

I am waving at you........upper left corner

Can you see me now?

This is where I will be for the next few weeks...

always a lovely view from the hay fields.

At the top of the image I can see my house...

I am just across the river from it.

It is 6.45 pm...

My cowboy arrived to spell me...

time to go home and put my feet up!

I was able to get a couple of

sewing days in last week:

My darling, sweet, kindred spirit......Linda

finished her pancake quilt....yay!

and you thought this wasn't going to be a

quilt related post.......fooled you!

  4. Love, love, love those pancake quilts! How many layer cakes does it take for a quilt of that size?

  5. Hi Sandra,

I really don't know how many layer cakes it would take to make a lap size pancake quilt.....sorry I cannot be of any help.
