Fabric Bowls, Friends and FUN!

We are spending the day at the Quilting Palace

Fabric Wrapped Bowls

I baked a pie...

Cooked up a pot of stew...

and invited a friend over to make fabric bowls...

Celia is a quick study and began wrapping

clothesline cord for her bowl...

Gunnr is also at the Palace today.

He enjoys showing off the fabric bowls!

Gunnr is also helping the construction crew

with a remodel job in the back of the house.

Celia is wrapping her cord with earthy tones...

I am going with BOLD and BRIGHT fabrics...

I strip out my fabrics and store them by color in bags.

I keep the bags in wash tubs to transport them.

Celia has the base of her bowl completed...

This is her first fabric bowl and she is having FUN!

Time for a lunch break in the Palace kitchen.

The little frig on the right is chilling my fabric dyes.

I think Celia and I had more FUN than the guys...

Invite your friend over for a day of FUN!

P.S.
Yes, Gunnr does look like a patchwork quilt with all the shaved sections on his body. Sorry I didn't mention it in my original post, but he has been having surgeries the last 2 weeks to remove tumors. The surgeons are pleased with the results and we are hoping for the best. As always, Gunnr is wagging his little tail and always ready to be involved in everything we are doing.
Many Thanks for your concerns and well wishes.
My Best To You!
Hugs from LuAnn and Gunnr

  1. The bowls are beautiful, but I am worried about Gunnr! what happened to him and why the shaved squares in his fur? Did he get into something he shouldn't have and had a nasty visit at the vet?
    Hope he is doing OK!

  3. Poor Gunnr! I'm glad he is still wagging and happy, and I hope he will be 100% healthy again soon. Thanks for sharing your fun day - it's inspiring and has reminded me to invite sewing buddies over once in a while. It's too easy to be lazy and just sew on my own.
