Lily Image Transfer
The top layer is fusible web
The bottom layer is commercial cotton with metallic swirls
With this method of layering, you get 2 prints for the price of one!
Layers separated:
Top image is the printed commercial cotton
Bottom image is the printed fusible web.
The fusible absorbs most of the ink during the printing process.
LuLu's Lily
14 x 18 Journal Quilt
I cut the fusible Lily layer into wavy strips.
I placed every other strip on top of the commercial cotton Lily print.
This created the light and dark strip effect.
I covered it with a teflon pressing sheet and fused it all together.

Detail of Quilted Vine in Border
The free motion quilting for me, is like icing the cake!
I used a green variegated 12 wt thread with a 100/16 topstitch needle.
The heavy thread really shows off on this variegated pink border fabric.
Good to have my homework done and turned into the online instructor in time. I had a Feb 14th deadline. She will now send me the next lesson in this free class offering.
