Hemingway Pouches...

The FUN continues with the

Hemingway Pouches...

The Hemingway Pouches comes in 4 sizes...

This is the largest size...

it holds a large tablet

They require a 28 inch zipper...

I pawed through the cupboards and found a

package of pink zippers on a roll...

I cut the zippers to size for each pouch

and was able to make 8 bags with one roll...

You split the zippers in half,

so each one makes two bags...

These were great FUN and I am glad

I gave them a try !

I posted a new video of our cattle

on my Instagram page

Bag Making...

I have been stitching this week...

Tula Pink Tabby Road fabric

made into a tote bag...

I squared off the bottom so the bag

will sit flat...

I also included an inset zipper...

Lining and reinforced bottom...

I know a kitty lover who will be surprised

to open this for Christmas...

I had a small bit of kitty fabric leftover

so I turned it into a Hemingway Pouch...

A large tablet will fit in this pouch...

These are lined with Pellon Flexible Foam...

I am having FUN and plan to make more !

Here we go again!

Acorn Candle Mats...

Acorn Candle Mats

This is an acorn coaster pattern...

I enlarged it and changed the shape a bit...

I pulled these homespun fabrics

from the cupboard...

Before too long I had an

acorn candle mat completed...

I had a great deal of fun using these

homespun fabrics...

Trying out different color combinations...

It was hard to stop...

I just had to keep cutting them out

and stitching them together.

I rounded up a few candles

to try them on for size...

Acorn Candle Mats...

Great for gift giving this autumn.

Acorn Garland...

This is a very FUN and FREE pattern from

Fig Tree & Company

Acorn Garland & Coasters

I am using 5 inch charm squares...

The charm squares are cut in half and
pieced into fronts or top sides for the acorns...

One charm pack made 16 acorns...

You trace the acorn shape onto freezer paper

then iron the freezer paper to your fabric

and trace around the shape...

If I were to make these again,
I would only put one small square
of fabric for the bottom of the acorn...

I was having so much FUN making these

that I forgot to take any more photos

until I was all done...

Here is the completed Acorn Garland

I machine quilted a grid across the acorns...

I top stitched all the way around the edge...

I made two garlands,

each with 8 acorns...

One to keep and one to give away!
