Summer @ Kessi Farms...

Summer here in Western Oregon

The last hay field is baled up...

That's always a good feeling...

All of the cattle are doing well...

It is breeding season,

the bulls are in with the cows...

The calves are growing big and will remain

with their mothers until they are

weaned in November.

We just moved the cattle to summer pasture...

We are hauling all those BIG hay bales

to the barns for winter storage...

Ahhhh....

Summer time and the livin' is easy.

I think that's what they say?

Wishing you all a relaxing summer season!

Painted Canvas...

Another day slinging paint on canvas...

Messy Painted Canvas

I seem to use up my painted canvas...

as soon as I make more of it!

I want to make a few more canvas bags,

so I spent the day painting...

I plan to make a few more tote bags:

and a few more canvas zipper bags:

Messy Painted Canvas...

The RAIN stopped production in the

hay fields today so...

I slung paint around with the

Harlan Valley Quilters!

Here are a few images I captured

in the hay field:

Gate into the hay field...

Fence along the hay field...

Foxgloves grow wild along the

edges of the hay fields...

Daisies growing along the fence line...

Irrigation pipe...

Sprinkler head...

As always, you are welcome to use my

photography in your personal art work.....enjoy!

From the seat of the Tractor...

Summer arrived early here in

Western Oregon...

We are making hay.....already!

I don't hear the hum of my sewing machine...

I hear the ROAR of the tractor!

It is very breezy today...

the grass is blowing around

and reminds me of the ocean waves.

I captured a video of the ocean

here in the middle of the hay field....enjoy!

The hay field is surrounded by foxgloves...

California Poppies fill our back yard.

Enjoy the hay field video:

Button Bracelets...

Last winter I sorted my buttons by color...

The first project I made with buttons:

Wine Glass Charms

Second project:

White Button Necklace

Third Project:

Brown Button Necklace

My latest Button FUN:

Button Bracelets

I like waxed cord for the bracelets.

In the evenings, I make a couple of bracelets...

They are starting to pile up...

My favorite....so far:

Metal buttons off jeans......love it!

I have worn this one to town several times.

The clear buttons are beautiful to work with.

Earth tones work nicely together.

These bracelets have been given away to

my quilting pals, friends, family and neighbors...

But, I can't stop making them!

We had a new calf early this morning:

The new black calf and her mama are in the

center of the photo.

They are flanked on each side by the

Shorthorn Bulls.
