Mod TV Quilt Top....

Remember this Mod TV Quilt...

I started it back in March...

I decided it was time to finish the quilt top

Yesterday I added a one inch black border

followed by a 6 inch Atomic border...

The Atomic fabric is from Michael Miller fabrics.

The Atomic fabric adds to that 1960's vibe...

Didn't we all love " That Girl " with her

flipped up hair !

" Bewitched" was probably my most

favorite show on TV...

We all wanted to wiggle our nose

and our bedroom would be magically

all cleaned up !

Every Saturday morning was spent

watching cartoons...

Leave it to Beaver...another classic TV show

" The Jetsons "

We all thought someday we would fly

around in our cars...

" Patty Duke "

We all loved to watch Patty Duke

and her twin cousin...

These TV shows really take me

back to my childhood days

during the 1960's...

This was great fun

reliving these classic TV shows...

sometimes you just gotta make a quilt

just for the FUN of it !

Now I need to paw through the fabric

cupboards and find something to

back this with.

Baby Nines....Quilted & Bound

The Baby Nines Quilt is....DONE !

I machine quilted daisies all over...

I just kind of made this design up

as I went along....it was great FUN !

I had this lavender binding cut out

a few years ago and never used it...

it works nicely on this baby quilt.

How about that PINK backing...

This is a gift for our tractor mechanic...

He has been coming out to our place for

a few weeks now working on my

red tractor (it blew up last hay season)...

His baby is due any day

and the baby quilt is ready to go !

Baby Nines...

I am in need of a baby quilt...

This very scrappy nine patch pattern

will work nicely with the scrap fabrics

I have in the bin by my cutting table...

I used 2 inch squares to create the 9 patch blocks,

I had leftover 5 inch charm squares,

also found leftover white background fabric

from a previous quilt...

The 5 inch charm squares

for the center of the quilt

are up on the design wall...

I am placing the 9 patch blocks

around the charm squares...

9 patch blocks make everything better...

It's a good thing this is baby size...

I barely have enough fabric....eek !

The blue fabric is just right for the

side triangles...

it has baby goats on it....FUN !

All of these are leftovers from my

1930's reproduction quilt projects

I have done over the last 30 years.

Now to find a backing fabric and

get this basted and machine quilted.

More to Come !
