Colorado Trip....

Our first two days in Colorado were Heath's days off, so he took us sightseeing and hiking all over the Eagle, CO area.
The rest of the week Brad and I have been exploring on our own, then meeting up with Heath for dinner in the evenings.

Heath....working in Colorado

For all you Quilters out there...
I will be blogging about our Colorado trip for a few days,
so these will be Non-Quilt related posts.

Heath is working for Parks & Rec for the Forest Service in Colorado this summer. I took this photo last week up at White Owl where he was building picnic tables at an elevation of 11,000 feet.

The skies are so gorgeous here.

Rocky Mountain High....we reached Colorado

We are visiting our son in Colorado. He is an intern here for the Forest Service for the summer. Our Oregon mountains back home look like mere hills compared to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. This image is Heath, Brad & Gunnr in White Owl at an elevation of over 11,000 feet. Click image to Enlarge.

My sketch book is full of images of the mountains, aspen trees, lakes, valleys, wild flowers and so much inspiration for a new landscape quilt I will begin when we return to Oregon.

I did get to Golden Colorado earlier last week to visit the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum...

I am using Brad's laptop, which is nothing like my sweet Mac computer at home, so I am struggling downloading and editing our travel photos. I will post more images as time allows.

Hoping to take my Paul Harvey quilt hiking tomorrow, so I can get a few photos of Paul in this gorgeous Rocky Mountain country.
