I used some of my hand dyes

for the background squares...

Flower 1

Flower 2

Flower 3

Flower 4

I decided to go with a

bigger background square:

Bigger Scribble Stitch Flowers...

Bigger is Better !

18 inch background squares

It is FUN working LARGE !

Go BIG or Go home !

I spent the day with the

Harlan Valley Quilters.

Treats were part of our Stitch Day !

Scribble Stitching....Continues

Each morning after the cattle are fed,

I try and get out to the Thread Shed

for a little.....Scribble Stitching

The blue fabric has been backed with

fusible stabilizer....to avoid puckers

The black thread accentuates the

Scribble Stitching...

It is time to turn these stitch panels into bags...

I had time today to finish up a

Tote Bag and a Zipper Case...

Super FUN !

Scribble Stitching.....Again

This scrap of fabric looks like flowers to me...

I cut out the circle shapes and

stitched them into flowers...

A dab of glue stick on the back of the circle

held them in place long enough to be

stitched down onto the fabric base...

The fabric base has fusible stabilizer

on the back side...

These are fast and FUN !

I am a recovering perfectionist.

I work very hard at not being perfect.

This scribble stitching has set me FREE !

These pieces range in size from

8 x 8  to  8 x 12 inches

I had two partial circle shapes left over,

so I turned them into leaves

on this flower.....FUN !

I am sewing them as fronts on zipper bags.

Do you have any other ideas

what could be done with them?

Scribble Stitching...

Last month I started playing around with

scribble stitching

on note cards...

Stitch Cards

I decided to try scribble stitching on fabric:

I LOVE it !!!

I ironed fusible stabilizer to the back

of the fabric to keep it from puckering...

I do love me some messy stitching !

These are approx 8 x 10 inches in size...

I plan to use them for the fronts of

zipper bags...

Scribble Stitching.....give it a try !

Sunny Western Oregon

We are enjoying lots of frosty nights and

sunny days here in Western Oregon...

We are across the river this morning feeding

one of the cow and calf herds...

We enjoy feeding in the sunshine,

rather than the rain and the mud...

The Cowboy is moving rock with the CAT:

We are getting a load of rock delivered

to the barn to prepare for the coming

rain and mud...

We are enjoying the last of the autumn color

in the front yard:

October Glory....Red Maple Tree

Please Enjoy the videos:

Vintage Baby Doll Beds...

I was recently gifted three

vintage baby doll beds

This is a handmade, all wooden, doll bed

approx 18 inches long.

The little girl who played with this

is now in her 80's.

This is a wooden cradle

that sits on a stand and rocks.

The little girl that played with this is now 50.

This little white wooden cradle

also belonged to her.

Or course, I had to fire up the sewing machine

and create bedding for all of these beds:

This bed needed a fluffy comforter...

Can you see the little white bunny tails

sticking up off the fabric?  Super FUN !

I made patchwork mattress pads and pillows

for both of the cradles...

Then I stitched up little pink flannel blankies...

Now add a little girl and some baby dolls

and lots of play time !

It is FUN to jump outside of my Quilters Box

and do some different stitching.
