Painted Fabrics Class
4 different techniques today!
Nancy Bryant is leading the
Pleated Foil Painting
Wet cotton is placed over the pleated foil
Dye Na Flow paints are applied
with a foam brush...
and an eye dropper
Nancy applies a spray of water
to help the paint migrate

Next Up is....Shaving Cream Printing:
LuAnn Kessi demonstrates
Shaving Cream Printing
Dye Na Flow paints are applied to the
shave cream then different tools are used to
work the paint across the surface
Guest Instructor, Shirley, assists in placing the
fabric on top of the shaving cream
Shirley gently pats the fabric down
to make the print
You can view the print before you
remove the fabric
The fabric is pulled off of the shave cream
The shave cream is scraped away
Finished print just needs to dry
The next technique is tie, roll, fold dyeing:

Several different methods of
tying, folding and rolling
Dye Na Flow is dripped onto the fabrics
Our last technique is Scrunch and Paint
LuAnn Kessi demonstrates this technique
Setacolors by Pebeo are applied to the fabric
The wet fabric is scrunched together
Setacolors are applied with a foam brush
