The fabrics are glued down
onto the note cards...
The student is tracing around a circle template,
this will guide her while she is stitching.

After stitching, the excess fabric is cut away...

These are charming. I wish I lived close enough to take some of your fun classes!! When you do the scribble stitching, are you using a zig-zag stitch or something else?
ReplyDeleteHi Adele, The feed dogs are dropped, a darning foot is put on the machine, the students are free motion stitching. It is like drawing on the notcards with your needle and thread. You control the way the fabric is being moved, not the machine. It is great FUN! No zig zag required. The students are encourage to scribble while stitching.
