I have had this quilt top finished for 10 years...

These are gorgeous Hoffman floral fabrics

It is time to baste it and get it under the needle...

505 Spray......my favorite basting spray.

This quilt is all about the fabrics...

very little of the machine quilting is prominent.

Try as I may, I just can't get a good shot of the stitching...

I came home from the Idaho Retreat

and put the finished rows up on

the design wall...

6 completed rows up on the wall...

I have pieced this quilt in...

Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Wyoming.

It has been my take-a-long quilt for years!

I have pieced a 7th row since returning to Oregon...

Machine Quilting......Overhead Projector

I recently discovered a new use for my

overhead projector...

to help me preview quilting designs on my quilt tops:

On the right is my sketch book

on the left is an overhead transparency 

printed on an inkjet printer

I placed the transparency on the overhead projector...

It projects onto the quilt top...

This gives me a preview of what the quilting

will look like....before I ever make a stitch!

I will have FUN playing around with sketches

and transparencies until I am ready to

put this.....under the needle.
