Inspiration…….from the Flower Beds

Each day I walk through the yard to check out

what's new in the flower beds…

Yes, Gunnr loves to walk through the yard with me...

Pumpkin plants growing in the back by the fence…

Gunnr finds a walk through the flowers very relaxing.

As always, you are welcome to use my images
in your personal art work.
I am always happy to share a bit of inspiration!

Making Hay…..July 2014

Yes, we are still in the hay fields

Today I am raking hay…

Brad is following me with the baler

Gunnr finally woke up from his nap under the shady tree:

Gunnr

He quickly figured out that it is cooler...

on the shady side of the bale!

The raking is done so I am heading for home...

Brad still has a few rows left to bale.

As I pull down the driveway,

a few of the yearling cattle are by the barn.

(to the right of the barn is a white roof,
that is the Thread Shed)

I have been trying to pull a few weeds in the evenings:

Fabulous Feathers...

This post is all about…..Fabulous Feather Quilting

I am participating in:

We are sharing our love of the Free Motion Quilted Feather.

This was quilted on my

Sweet Sixteen Sit-Down Long Arm Machine

I couldn't resist covering it with feathers!

This is a very basic free motion feather design

This is the back side of the Zinnia Quilt:

I sketch out the feather design in my Sketch Book

then again on a dry erase board several times.

That reinforces the feather design in my mind

 before I stitch the quilt.

Here are a few of my favorite feather designs

from my Sketch Book
