Happy New Year from The Kessi Ranch

This is the New Year Baby

@ The Kessi Ranch

An orphaned baby elk

that has been living with our cattle

for several weeks...

We think he is about 6 months old...

He eats cow hay

right along side of the cows...

We are hoping an elk herd moves

through that he can join up with...

For now, we are enjoying

seeing him each morning when we

feed the cattle.

  1. Happy New Year!! He is obviously safe and comfortable with your cows - if he doesn't find an elk herd to join, I wonder how he'll do when you move the cattle to another pasture in the spring?

    1. Hi Farm Quilters,

Luckily for Felix, this is our old cow herd...there will always be a few old girls that need some extra TLC in this pasture.

      Hugs,
      LuAnn
