Haying and Cattle...

There's always lots of company

while hay making...

The cattle are just across the fence...

This is a field of 50 cow and calf pairs...

These are 2 heifers who had their very first

calves last spring...

This little steer calf looked like

a buffalo calf when he was born last March:

I call him....Buffalo Bill

His mother is Golden Girl...
he looks just like her !

All of the cattle are looking over to the right:

The Cowboy has just stopped

along their fence line

and dumped a bale out...

This is what they will be eating

this coming winter...

The hay bales weight 1,000 lbs.

They eat about 400 bales every year.

We better get busy !
