Summer Color...Inspiration

This is the time of year that I get so much

COLOR inspiration !

Pink Coneflower

When I walk out the front door,

I am greeted with a punch of color !

Pink Petunias

On the side of the Thread Shed:

Hollyhocks

In the Back Yard:

Pink and Yellow Dahlia

Gladiolas

Dinner Plate Dahlias...

The blooms are the size of a dinner plate

for sure !

I spray paint metal bed frames

and use them as flower fencing.

The summer flowers have inspired

my quilting over the years:

  1. Your garden is beautiful - so many bright happy flowers. Right now I only have black eyed Susans blooming, but the zinnias and impatients are starting.

    1. Black Eyed Susies are always a favorite of mine.....they are slow blooming this year and just getting started.

  2. Such a gorgeous garden!! I am not a good gardener, but I am thinking about trying a new way of gardening using gutters to plant in...I'm really bad a figuring out what is a weed (especially when growing from seed) that the weeds are huge when I finally figure it out. I love to plant flowers, don't mind watering them, but weeding is not my friend!!
