Just beautiful!! the poppies are my favorite - I remember seeing hillsides of them when I was a kid and this brings back great memories! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI sprinkled CA poppy seeds in the back yard years ago. They are known for loving a dry climate, but they seem to do just great here in rainy Western Oregon with 130 inches of rain fall per year.....eek!

ReplyDeleteNo, the black bears are not aggressive. They are just out in the woods trying to raise their young and make a living for themselves. They have never bothered our cattle or goat herds. They come into the apple orchard this time every year to eat apples.

ReplyDeleteWestern Oregon is know for high acid soil, that's why fir trees grown here in abundance. I wonder if the foxgloves are also acid loving plants?
DeleteHi everyone, I haven't been receiving any blogger comments for several months now. I thought everyone was having a fun and busy summer and wasn't reading the blog.....just today I discovered lots and lots of blogger comments waiting for my moderation. Not sure how that happened?
