There are new baby chicks
running around in the yard...
Mama Hen spent the month of July
sitting on eggs...
August 1st...
three baby chicks hatched out !
Today is their first day venturing out
of the hen house and into our yard
to peck at the grass and bugs...
Mama Hen keeps a close eye out
and keeps them protected at all times...
We are having FUN watching them
scratch around and imitate
everything Mama Hen does.

I don't remember this "miniature" stage; just fluff, scraggly and grown. They're quite a set right now. :)
