Little Houses Table Runner....#3

I was able to create 2 table runners from the

Frisky by Zen Chick

charm squares...

This is the second runner:

These runners go together so quickly,

thanks to raw edge fusible applique'

My favorite part of creating this is

the free motion machine quilting.....FUN !

each house is quilted differently

and has its' own personality...

Here are both of the Frisky table runners:

They are in need of bindings...

I found this orange in my fabric cupboard...

The bindings are done...

Three Little House Table Runners

are complete and...

yes, I have already started the 4th runner.

Here it is the last day of August

and I thought I would share a few images

of the flower garden in front of the house:

State Fair Zinnias....in full bloom

This is the view that greets us each morning

when we leave the house to feed the cattle...

It rained today for the first time in 4 months...

We have 3 weeks of summer left...

I plan to make the most of it.

Little Houses Table Runner.....#2

How FUN is this line of fabric !

Frisky by Zen Chic.......5 inch Charm Squares

Such a yummy color story...

The little houses are fused onto

the background fabric...

The borders are on and it is sandwiched

together and ready for machine quilting...

I do love me some circles and swirls...

Machine quilting is complete...

It is all trimmed and ready for a binding...

I will dig around and see if I can find

a fabric for the binding.

These are FUN.....can't stop at just one !

Horse Panel....Border Blocks

The top border is complete...

I am contemplating the bottom border...

This has become my Go-To-Book

for Quilt Block designs...

I think the points in this Rising Sun block

will go well with the mountain blocks...

Here is the first block on the design board

ready to stitch together...

Two blocks on the design wall...

they are 8 inch blocks and seem small to me?

I do like the Rising Sun blocks...

They still seem under-sized to me...

I will live with them on the design wall

for a few days and see what transpires.

More To Come...

I continue to push on with my

pile of fabric panels...

Here is another favorite....Horses

Here are a few soft colors

pulled from the fabric cupboard...

I am auditioning border fabrics...

I decided to try out  the

Delectable Mountain Block...

I am only using half of the block...

Here is a Delectable Mountain border...

Wow....I am pleased !

Just outside the Thread Shed:

There is a RIOT of color !

Black Eyed Suzy

Pink Cone Flowers

Purple Hydrangea

Pink Star Lily

The flower bed in front of the house

is filling in nicely...

The Dahlias and Zinnias are just

beginning to bloom...

It was 107 degrees today...

I better get out and water all of the flowers.
