Bowling...

I caught the Bowl bug...

This is the third Fabric Wrapped Bowl

this week...

After 2 oval bowls,

I made a round bowl:

I rolled the top edge of the bowl..... down

I like it !

I put all of the bowl making supplies

away in the closet.

I need to move on.

  1. When I first saw the pic, I noticed the top and thought..how cool..what did she do!! Very unique and different from so many other fabric bowls! Another win for LuAnn!!!

  2. How fun is your bowl!! I love your edge as well. Funny, I'm doing a rug for my kitchen right now!! I also want to make bowls! What are the dimensions of your bowl and how long was your fabric strip? You didn't do the "wrap" around the clothesline, you sewed it (just like I did with my rug). I think you waste a great deal of fabric with the wrapping. Did you use a walking foot or just a regular foot when you sewed it together?

  3. I wrapped the clothesline with 1 inch strips.....the strips varied in length. The bottom of the bowl is about 8 inches in diameter and about 8 inches tall before I folded it over. I used a open toe applique foot to do the zig zag stitched, better visibility.

    Have FUN!
