Sunny Western Oregon


We are enjoying lots of frosty nights and

sunny days here in Western Oregon...



We are across the river this morning feeding

one of the cow and calf herds...
We enjoy feeding in the sunshine,

rather than the rain and the mud...



The Cowboy is moving rock with the CAT:
We are getting a load of rock delivered 

to the barn to prepare for the coming 

rain and mud...



We are enjoying the last of the autumn color

in the front yard:

    You and Cowboy take such good care of the animals in your care!!! love seeing your day to day life...and glad you're having that beautiful weather! It was 19 here in Michigan this a.m. Didn't walk the dogs until noon when temps got up to 33! Walked again at 32 degrees but way too cold for me! HA

    You better bundle up along with your doggie when you head out of doors.....brrrr. We rarely get below 20 degress here in our little valley that is just 200 feet above sea level.

    Your tree is amazing!!! I love seeing life on the farm!! I looked for Golden Girl and the Bottle Boys, but didn't see them in the video. Hope they are all well. Cowboy was definitely nursing that Cat up the hill...those engines really don't like the cold!!

      Golden Girl and the bottle babies are a few miles up river at another location where we feed the main herd of cow and calf pairs. They will be moved across the river from us the first of next year before calving season. We are feeding at several locations this time of the year.

      This non-rain is such a gift for us Western Oregonians....we are soaking in all the sunshine we can before the gray skies, rain and mud return!

    the red maples are stunning! No rain to speak of here for months, but then my brother in Bandon says they've not had any rain for 21 days [record is 23 days]. Fish can't get up the rivers to spawn. Not good.

      Yes, the Big Elk River here at home is very low and no fish spawning. Rain is expected this coming week
